How fast are homes selling here in February 2023?

Right now we are in a very steady Market trend of homes coming on the market and practically the same amount of homes going under contract.

Let me show you that with a few examples right here. A great way to understand how a market is moving is to look at how many homes are coming on the market and then how many new homes are going under contract I’m going to give you a snapshot of a couple of towns here to give you an idea how it’s going in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Hi, again my name is John Herman of PropertyUp and let’s take a look at what’s going on in the world of real estate.

Taking a look at the past 30 days we see Barrington had 59 new listings and 58 homes went under contract next we have Cary and Cary had 39 new listings and 31 homes go under contract next Fox Lake had 14 new homes and seven homes went under contract Ingleside just outside of Fox Lake that had 10 homes go on the market and 14 went under contract so more homes sold then went on the market next we have Lake Zurich which had 53 new homes at the market and 47 go under contract going to McHenry we had 56 homes listed and 55 go under contract and finally Palatine had 78 new listings in the past 30 days and 72 went under contract.

So as you can see we have a very similar ratio of homes being listed and homes being sold so our real estate market is moving pretty quickly right now.

One good thing we are seeing is that appraisals are coming in at what buyers are offering Meeting the market is stabilizing nicely.
