Our Real Estate Market is currently Holding steady and starting to slow a bit
Interest rates remain at about the 7% range, home inventory remains low and the most recent increase in inventory has been homes going into foreclosure.
Hi, my name is John Herman and I work with families going through the probate process and selling homes in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago.
More buyers are paying cash these days due to interest rates close to 7% and many potential sellers are sitting this one out still because they are holding onto interest rates that are lower than what is now curranty available
Foreclosures in Illinois are up 14% over a year ago and that equates to the figure was one in every 2,144 homes The reason for that is that the government had a moratorium on foreclosures that recently expired and naturally lead to the rise in foreclosures. A National view on foreclosures shows Michigan saw the highest number, followed by us here in Illinois, then California, Pennsylvania, and New York.
Overall sales are still occurring in the real estate market and some great homes are also coming on the market for sale.
My probate tip of the month is to be more like a Boycott and Be Prepared…
By being prepared I mean prepare for 1.) Nominate children or your pet guardians 2.) Choose who will handle your affairs 3.) Directing specific gifts (Property, money, possessions, and such) 4.) Determine how your assets will be distributed 5.) You can exclude individuals from receiving your property 6.) Specify your final arrangements 7) Document any special requests 8) Decide what should happen in a medical emergency 9) Designate your health care agents 10) Grant trusted individuals access to your medical records 11) Add any conditions to asset distributions and most importantly avoid probate court. Being prepared is the best thing you can do for your family when you are gone, be more like a Boy Scout.
My name is John Herman of Property Up, make it a great day!
