Important things to think about when you’re selling a home.

Many people think that the only thing that is important is the size of the home and how many bedrooms, bathrooms, garage spaces, and if there is a basement are what’s really important in selling a home. But as a seller, it’s also really important to think about other things that may be of interest to a buyer.
Hi, I’m John Herman with Property Up and I’ve been selling homes in the northwest suburbs of Chicago for 17 years now. And I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been with a buyer, and they never even mentioned that. I mean, don’t get me wrong, obviously, they have two or three children and are looking at three or four-bedroom homes, but more often than not, they tell me HOW important the neighborhood is or how they want a certain school district. Maybe they’re looking for a neighborhood with lots of children, or close enough their kids can walk to school.
You won’t believe how many people are looking for a community that they can get involved in with more outdoor activities. some people are looking for waterfront property or water rights communities or maybe they want to be close to the metra train station.
The point is for a buyer there are so many additional aspects that can add to the home’s potential value and that need to be marketed and showcased…. and that information is just as important as upgrades.

All of these factors when marketing can assist in selling in a more timely manner and for a way higher price for any seller so correctly marketing and exposing these key essential features and factors are super important and one of the things that we do here at Property Up is to really get you… the seller involved.
