IS A PRE-LISTING INSPECTION IMPORTANT FOR SELLERS?
A seller who has a pre-listing inspection is ahead of the game and won’t be surprised by things that could kill a deal when a buyer has inspections done. By having a pre-listing inspection a seller can choose to address any major issues found, and be transparent about other, smaller issues that may need to be addressed. They could even provide the inspection for the buyer’s to see, giving peace of mind that the house is in good condition, and/or that anything major has been addressed. This could speed up the transaction because some buyer’s may choose to forego having their own inspections if the seller’s inspections are satisfactory to them.
